'tropical' in the Tropical North Queensland. Serviced by a international
airport, Cairns is a backpackers dream. A base to explore the Great Barrier Reef
or lax out by the pool. Yes you will find a pool within many of the budget

ties. Head thirty minutes north to see and stay at Palm Cove or go the extra
thirty to base yourself at Port Douglas. This little town oozes tropical charm
with its palm lined streets, sidewalk cafes, a corner pub from the 1950's and
