Northern Territory, Australia budget and hostel accommodation

Not a state but a territory of Australia, the Northern Territory IS 'out back' Australia that many first time visitors mentally visualize Australia to be. Yes you will find vast deserts, snakes, kangaroos by the thousands and the not so occasional crocodile. Here Darwin is the largest city and a great starting point to visit the many sights -
Kakadu National Park - A world heritage site offers rugged escarpments, lush wetlands, plunging gorges with cascading waterfalls and aboriginal ancient rock paintings.

Katherine region - stretching from the West Australian coast to inland Northern Territory, this remote destination is famous for its abundant waterways through gorges with rivers waterfalls and the occasional crocodile.

The Red Center - base yourself at the town of Alice Springs to explore the rock - Aryes Rock. If you are into deserts, we got a big one here to help you get lost in - the Simpsons desert, great for snake spotting.
